Spring Concert
Rehearsals Underway
All area singers are invited to join the Stanly County Chorale, now in
rehearsal for its spring concerts, Mondays at 7:00 p.m. at First
Presbyterian Church in Albemarle. The group is preparing Brahms'
Liebeslieder Waltzes and Poulenc's Gloria, the major works
scheduled for the second half of the Chorale's 2008-09 season. Concerts
are tentatively scheduled for the weekend of April 17-19.
The Chorale is directed by Steve Harrill, Assistant Professor of Music
at Pfeiffer University, and accompanied by Stan Scheer, Vice President
Emeritus of organ builder Casavant Frères and former chair of the
Pfeiffer Fine Arts Department.
Date: Mondays at 7:00 p.m.
